Founder: Hamid Shojaee
Axosoft founder, Hamid Shojaee, is a software industry veteran who, prior to starting
Axosoft, lead software development teams at Microsoft, Intel and IBM.
It was as a Sr. Consultant with Microsoft that Hamid realized how common it was
for even the brightest dev teams and managers to have difficulty answering
basic questions about their software projects: Who's working on what?
What's the status of this bug or that feature? When will the product be ready
to ship?
To help teams stay on course and ship software on time, Hamid created OnTime.
He was able to invest his project management and development experience into
a product that would help dev teams function together in better harmony.
When OnTime v1.0 was publicly released as a free app, Hamid was overwhelmed by the
response it received. People who were using OnTime were vocally enthusiastic
about it -- they finally had a tool that "got it" and actually helped them get things
done.
Axosoft was born. Today, Hamid actively manages and provides guidance in all
areas of Axosoft's business. With his passions for Axosoft and OnTime strengthening,
he also dedicates time as a speaker at software development conferences and functions
as Axosoft's #1 OnTime evangelist.

Mantra: Ship Software OnTime
We believe that when you set worthy goals and do everything you can to achieve those
goals -- good things happen. Our goal is to help software development teams
around the world ship software on time. What makes this such a worthy goal?
In order to ship software on time, you have to do a lot of things right. You
need a good environment, good people, and a process that works.
We focus on improving the process. When "shipping software on time" becomes
your goal, you quickly find that you must implement best practices in multiple area...and
that's where OnTime shines:
OnTime provides teams with one database where everyone can see what's going on and
who's working on what. By automating the workflow, OnTime actually helps build
process integrity while giving developers more time to do what they do best: write
great code.
OnTime unites project managers, developers, testers, help desk support techs, and
even customers and stakeholders by providing one tool to help them get their jobs
done, track and measure their progress, and analyze what's working and what's not.
Shipping software on time is why we exist.
Fear the Bug
If you don't track it, you can't attack it! Here's the Big Beat Battalion laptop hip-hop version of the story:

Axosoft Labs
When our development team isn't hard at work on core projects, they keep busy with
learning new technologies and creating product add-ons that can help our customers.
Axosoft Labs is our showcase of these projects. There, you will find numerous
OnTime 2007 SDK samples. These samples do things like integrate OnTime with
Microsoft Project and Outlook, or provide a slick notification tool that sits in
the Windows System Tray.
The OnTime SDK and the source code to all SDK samples are provided free. More >>
Sometimes the dev teams works on totally new projects that appear unrelated to our
core products. In reality, though, these projects provide concentrated learning
opportunities that end up improving everything Axosoft produces.
Two such projects are currently publicly available: TransferBigFiles.com (transfer files up to 1GB in size absolutely
free) and a cross platform RSS reader. Learn

Axosoft
is the joining of the two words "Axon" and "Software." An Axon is the portions
of a neuron that connects it to other neurons, muscles, glands, etc. They
are the primary transmitters of information across the nervous system. When bundled
together, Axons form nerves.
Axosoft draws some of its philosophy from the axon's example. People aren't
consciously aware of what axons are doing, yet they perform a vital role in the
human body. Similarly, we believe good software and good processes shouldn't get
in the way, either. The best software is the kind that "just works."
